This research focuses on examining teachers' perceptions regarding Environmental Education in the second cycle of Basic Regular Education (EBR) at a private educational institution in Lima. The main objective of the study is to understand how teachers perceive Environmental Education (EE). Through this analysis, the study seeks to identify their perceptions of the foundations of this educational approach, that is, the concepts, principles, and objectives that support this discipline within the educational context. It also explores how teachers perceive the curricular implementation of Environmental Education, evaluating how it is integrated into the programs or activities of the second cycle of Basic Regular Education. The study adopts a qualitative and descriptive perspective, using semi-structured interviews with three early childhood teachers as the primary data collection tool. Based on the information collected, a matrix was developed to analyze the concepts presented in the section. Finally, it is concluded that teachers agree on the importance of raising awareness among students from an early age to foster a conscious relationship with nature, where pro-environmental knowledge is shared to promote reponsible attitudes and practices starting in the classroom. Although this approach is included in the National Curriculum, it is not given the necessary priority to create a meaningful impact on students.
