Modelo Prolab: Clavel del Valle, solución colaborativa para la producción sostenible de claveles en comunidades rurales del Cusco

Abstract

La agricultura en Calca enfrenta limitaciones que afectan su competitividad, como la falta de tecnología y riego eficiente, a pesar de contar con amplia superficie y diversidad de cultivos. Los esfuerzos de diversificación, como el cultivo de fresas, han sido rentables, pero solo 40 productores participan en estos proyectos. La crisis agraria en Perú ha agravado la situación, con una caída del 10.5% en hectáreas sembradas y un 42% de hogares agrícolas en pobreza. El proyecto Clavel del Valle ha identificado necesidades clave de los agricultores, como acceso a financiamiento y capacitación técnica, demostrando que el cultivo de claveles es una opción rentable y estable. El proyecto promueve prácticas sostenibles que maximizan el rendimiento y conservan recursos naturales. La formación técnica ha sido vital para optimizar los recursos, y el sistema de recompra ha proporcionado seguridad financiera a los agricultores. Además, el acceso a financiamiento ha reducido costos de producción, mejorando los ingresos y la cohesión de las comunidades rurales. Clavel del Valle ha mostrado una gran rentabilidad, con una Tasa Interna de Retorno Económica (TIRE) del 111.15% y un Valor Presente Neto Económico (VPNE) de S/. 5´791,767.8. Las simulaciones de Monte Carlo revelan un VAN promedio de S/. 6´159,867.26, con un riesgo nulo de que el VAN sea inferior a S/. 3,800,000. El proyecto también se ha alineado con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), alcanzando un Índice de Relevancia Social (IRS) de 47.83%, contribuyendo significativamente a las metas de los ODS 8 y 12, promoviendo prácticas agrícolas sostenibles y mejorando las condiciones económicas de los agricultores en la región. A nivel social, el Valor Actual Neto (VAN) del proyecto se estima en S/. 4´081,357.65, reflejando un fuerte impacto positivo en las comunidades rurales.

Clavel del Valle has shown great profitability, with an Economic Internal Rate of Return (ERR) of 111.15% and an Economic Net Present Value (EPV) of S/. 5,791,767.8. Monte Carlo simulations reveal an average NPV of S/. 6,159,867.26, with a zero risk of the NPV being less than S/. 3,800,000. The project has also been aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), achieving a Social Relevance Index (SRI) of 47.83%, contributing significantly to the targets of SDGs 8 and 12, promoting sustainable agricultural practices and improving the economic conditions of farmers in the region. At the social level, the Net Present Value (NPV) of the project is estimated at S/. 4,081,357.65, reflecting a strong positive impact on rural communities.
