Contribución del proyecto “Corresponsales escolares” de El Comercio y Unicef a las capacidades, competencias y relaciones interpersonales de estudiantes del colegio N°64035 Agropecuario de Pucallpa en el período de agosto a diciembre del 2021

Abstract

La investigación buscó identificar cuál fue la contribución del proyecto “Corresponsales escolares” de El Comercio y Unicef a las capacidades, competencias y relaciones interpersonales de los estudiantes del colegio N° 64035 Agropecuario de Pucallpa. Para esto, se examinaron las aptitudes promovidas por el proyecto, así como las valoraciones de los estudiantes, docentes y mentor para proponer recomendaciones que coadyuven al desarrollo personal de los alumnos participantes. A su vez, se indagó qué habilidades de los usuarios fueron desarrolladas y reforzadas a través del proyecto. También se investigó las opiniones de los estudiantes sobre lo que aprendieron, cómo lo comparan con lo aprendido en la escuela y la valoración de los actores sobre lo adquirido por los corresponsales. El proyecto resultó pertinente bajo la óptica de la Gerencia Social a raíz del logrado trabajo conjunto entre una empresa y una institución de la sociedad civil, en paralelo a la participación activa de diversos centros educativos públicos y privados, así como los estudiantes, quienes finalmente son los usuarios. Para la tarea indagatoria se empleó una estrategia metodológica cualitativa, la cual consistió en la realización de cuatro entrevistas semiestructuradas a los corresponsales escolares, una entrevista grupal a todos ellos, una entrevista semiestructurada al mentor de El Comercio, otra entrevista a la docente de Comunicación y una última entrevista semiestructurada a la docente-tutora de los estudiantes. Además, se hizo una revisión y análisis documental del artículo periodístico publicado en el diario por los corresponsales. La investigación mostró que el proyecto permitió el desarrollo de nuevas capacidades y competencias relacionadas al conocer y saber hacer en los corresponsales. Los alumnos vieron fortalecidas sus habilidades sociales, la confianza en sí mismos y adquirieron herramientas técnicas y conocimientos en materia de redacción y análisis informativo. A la par de ello, lograron sentirse capaces de efectuar una investigación periodística a un nivel casi profesional, puesto que interactuaron con personas que no eran de su entorno, además de mejorar sus habilidades comunicativas y empoderamiento. Con la revisión de esta experiencia queda en evidencia la relevancia de las actividades extracurriculares en el desarrollo integral de los estudiantes, ya que refuerzan conocimientos aprendidos en la escuela mientras que desarrollan y refuerzan habilidades interpersonales y profundizan en el conocimiento de sí mismos. Se recomienda ampliar el alcance del proyecto “Corresponsales escolares” para que más estudiantes a lo largo del país puedan beneficiarse de sus resultados.

The research sought to identify the contribution of the “School Correspondents” project of El Comercio and Unicef to the capabilities, competencies and interpersonal relationships of the students of the N° 64035 Agropecuario school in Pucallpa. Moreover, this thesis sought to identify which user skills were developed and reinforced through the project. The students' opinions about what they learned, how they compare it with what they learned at school, and the actors' assessment of what the correspondents acquired were also investigated. The project was relevant from the perspective of Social Management as a result of the achieved joint work between a company and a civil society institution, in parallel to the active participation of various public and private educational centers, as well as students, who ultimately are the users. For the investigative task, a qualitative methodological strategy was used, which consisted of conducting four semi-structured interviews with the school correspondents, a group interview with all of them, a semi-structured interview with the El Comercio mentor, another interview with the Communication and a final semistructured interview with the students' teacher-tutor. In addition, a review and documentary analysis of the journalistic article published in the newspaper by the correspondents was carried out. The research showed that the project allowed the development of new capacities and competencies related to knowing and knowing how in the correspondents. The students saw their social skills and self-confidence strengthened and they acquired technical tools and knowledge in writing and information analysis. At the same time, they managed to feel capable of carrying out a journalistic investigation at an almost professional level, since they interacted with people who were not from their environment, in addition to improving their communication skills and empowerment. With the review of this experience, the relevance of extracurricular activities in the comprehensive development of students becomes evident, since they reinforce knowledge learned at school while developing and reinforcing interpersonal skills and deepening self-knowledge. It is recommended to expand the scope of the “School Correspondents” project so that more students throughout the country can benefit from its results.
