Surco.
Universal screening is the first phase to detect students at risk of presenting learning difficulties in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics in a Response to Intervention (RtI) model. In this sense, the purpose of the present work was to explore the psychometric evidence of the PREDISCAL Screening of Reading and Mathematics Difficulties in a sample population of 193 schoolchildren from the second to sixth grades of the primary level of an Educational Institution of the UGEL 07. The design research was instrumental. The population was made up of second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students. As results, evidence of content-based validity was estimated from the Aiken V index, whose results were acceptable. Regarding the evidence of validity based on the internal structure, the subdimensions present statistically significant correlations, with a positive trend and of a moderate magnitude. In relation to the evidence of reliability through internal consistency, alpha coefficients of .955 (Phrases dimension), .967 (Mathematical Fluency dimension), and .952 (Calculation dimension) are achieved, all values above what is acceptable. Likewise, correlations were reported between the three dimensions. In conclusion, the PREDISCAL presents valid and reliable measures for use in schoolchildren from an Educational Institution in the district of Santiago de Surco.
