Percepciones docentes sobre el uso de las canciones infantiles en el trabajo pedagógico con niños del segundo ciclo del nivel inicial

Abstract

En el Perú, la mayoría de docentes del nivel inicial desconocen el uso y los beneficios pedagógicos de las canciones infantiles, por lo que, no las aprovechan para desarrollar de manera integral a los niños. Por ello, este trabajo de investigación titulado “Percepciones docentes sobre el uso de las canciones infantiles en el trabajo pedagógico con niños del segundo ciclo del nivel inicial” tiene como objetivo general analizar las percepciones que tienen las docentes sobre el uso de las canciones infantiles en su práctica pedagógica. Los objetivos específicos son: (i) identificar las percepciones que tienen las docentes sobre las canciones infantiles en su práctica pedagógica, (ii) identificar las canciones infantiles que utilizan las docentes en el trabajo con niños del segundo ciclo del nivel inicial, y (iii) describir el uso de las canciones infantiles en un aula del segundo ciclo del nivel inicial. Para ello, la investigación realizada tuvo un enfoque cualitativo, lo cual, permitió abordar los objetivos a través de la técnica de entrevista semiestructurada. Las informantes fueron tres docentes, correspondientes a las tres edades del segundo ciclo del nivel inicial. Además, las entrevistas realizadas lograron una indagación más profunda por medio de preguntas adicionales que surgieron en base a las respuestas de las informantes. Sin embargo, los hallazgos revelan que las docentes desconocen algunas tipologías de las canciones infantiles y solo las utilizan como herramienta de motivación. En conclusión, las docentes necesitan adquirir más conocimientos sobre cómo y por qué la integración de canciones infantiles puede llegar a ser beneficiosa para los infantes y para su práctica educativa.

In Peru, most teachers at the initial level are unaware of the use and pedagogical benefits of children's songs, so they do not take advantage of them to comprehensively develop children. Therefore, this research work entitled "Teachers' perceptions about the use of children's songs in pedagogical work with children in the second cycle of the initial level" has as its general objective to analyze the perceptions that teachers have about the use of children's songs in their pedagogical practice. The specific objectives are: (i) to identify the perceptions that teachers have about children's songs in their pedagogical practice, (ii) to identify the children's songs that teachers use in their work with children in the second cycle of the initial level, and (iii) to describe the use of children's songs in a classroom in the second cycle of the initial level. To do so, the research carried out had a qualitative approach, which allowed the objectives to be addressed through the semi-structured interview technique. The informants were three teachers, corresponding to the three ages of the second cycle of the initial level. In addition, the interviews carried out achieved a deeper inquiry through additional questions that arose based on the answers of the informants. However, the findings reveal that the teachers are unaware of some typologies of children's songs and only use them as a motivational tool. In conclusion, teachers need to acquire more knowledge about how and why the integration of children's songs can be beneficial for children and for their educational practice.
