Abstract
La investigación “Relación entre la exposición a narraciones orales por los padres
de familia y el vocabulario comprensivo en niños de primer grado de primaria de
una institución educativa estatal y una privada de Lima Metropolitana”, es un
trabajo que adopta un enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño descriptivo correlacional
porque tiene como objetivo primordial determinar la relación entre la exposición a
narraciones orales por los padres de familia y el nivel de vocabulario comprensivo
de sus hijos, 80 estudiantes de primer grado de primaria de una institución educativa
estatal y una privada. El Test de Vocabulario en Imágenes PEABODY-PPVT III y
un cuestionario dirigido a los padres de familia fueron empleados en el proceso de
la medición de las variables. Al culminar el estudio, se constató que existe una
relación significativa entre las variables exposición a narraciones orales y el
vocabulario comprensivo; hallándose mejores niveles de vocabulario comprensivo
en los estudiantes con mayor exposición a las narraciones orales por los padres de
familia. Así también, se registraron las diferencias del nivel de vocabulario
comprensivo en relación al tipo de institución educativa.
The research "Relationship between exposure to oral narratives by parents and comprehensive vocabulary in elementary level children of a public and a private educational institution of Lima Metropolitana", is a work with a quantitative approach and a correlational descriptive design because its primary objective is to establish the relationship between exposure to oral narratives by parents and the level of comprehensive vocabulary of their children, 80 first grade students of a public and a private educational institution. The PEABODY Picture Vocabulary Test -PPVT III and a questionnaire addressed to the parents were used in the process of measuring the variables. Upon completion of the study it was found that there is a significant relationship between the variables exposure to oral narratives and the comprehensive vocabulary; finding better levels of comprehensive vocabulary in students with greater exposure to oral narratives by parents. Also, differences in the level of comprehensive vocabulary in relation to the type of educational institution were recorded.
