Abstract
Compañía Minera Condestable S.A.
The purpose of this work is to add value to the supply chain of Compañía Minera Condestable S.A. (CMC), by inserting a sustainability approach in its supplier selection process. At the beginning of the year 2022, CMC has achieved certification under the Copper Mark standards, a guaranteed framework that promotes responsible copper production. To this end, over the last few years, CMC has been developing its leadership with responsible practices and has been searching for new proposals for improvement, not only in its exploration and exploitation activities, but also in the different elements of its supply chain. The improvement proposal groups the necessary guidelines required by the supply chain in order to maintain a strategically sustainable position within the market and the sector. With this improvement, CMC seeks to have a formal supplier selection process with a high degree of evaluation and analysis. This considers sustainable economic, social and environmental criteria, using supportive management technologies and employing multi-criteria decisionmaking methods (MCDM) such as the AHP hierarchy method. This concludes that, by using sustainable supplier selection methodologies for the supply chain, we add value to the mining business, therefore, to the final product and boost the maintenance of the company's competitive position. The project implementation period is 04 months, in three stages, with an initial budget of S/ 1,701,631.33, an NPV of S/ 9,863,063.26 and an IRR of 266%.
