Plastic waste management faces serious limitations; in districts such as San Miguel, barely 3.8% of plastics are recycled, despite the fact that more than 75% could be recovered. This gap is explained by the lack of a recycling culture, insufficient differentiated collection infrastructure, the absence of incentives, and weak coordination among system stakeholders. In response to this scenario, the business model of Reciclero.pe is developed and evaluated a platform aimed at the sustainable management of urban solid waste through economic and technological incentives. Market analysis tools (PESTEL and Porter’s Five Forces) were applied, along with the construction of buyer personas and digital marketing strategies to estimate potential demand. The financial model was built on Shareholder Cash Flow projections, discounting the COK of 11.38%, yielding an economic NPV of S/ 3.44 million. These results confirm both value creation and the project’s resilience under adverse scenarios. From a sustainability perspective, the project contributes to SDGs 12 and 13, achieving a Sustainability Relevance Index (SRI) of 63% and 67% respectively and a Social NPV of S/ 1.136 million. This demonstrates its contribution to responsible production and consumption, as well as to climate action. The findings allow us to conclude that Reciclero.pe represents a scalable, profitable, and SDG-aligned initiative, offering an innovative alternative for advancing the circular economy in Peru.
