The Amazonia Azul project proposes the implementation of a sustainable communitybased rural tourism model in the areas adjacent to the Cordillera Azul National Park (PNCAZ) in Peru. This initiative is distinguished by its innovative nature, potential for replication, and its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its approach focusses on the participation of local communities, taking advantage of both its strategic location and the area's high ecological and cultural value. The project will be implemented in partnership with the NGO CIMA (Center for Conservation, Research, and Management of Natural Areas) and with community stakeholders, seeking a balance between the conservation of natural and cultural heritage and the promotion of local economic well-being. Regarding the territorial assessment, limitations related to infrastructure, competition from more established tourist destinations, and the demanding profile of responsible tourists are identified. However, opportunities associated with the growth of tourism and the global trend toward authentic and sustainable experiences are also recognized. To define the target user, tools such as the Meta-User Canvas, the User Experience Map, interviews, surveys, and fieldwork were used. The identified segment is made up of national and international tourists between 40 and 65 years old, interested in direct contact with communities and nature through a responsible approach. The estimated investment to execute the project amounts to S/ 979,730. Applying a weighted average cost of capital (WACC) of 28.155%, a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/ 15,470,297 and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 342.19% are projected. The project is primarily linked to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 15 (Life on Land). In terms of social impact, the project is estimated to generate income and sustained employment equivalent to S/ 288,000 annually, compared to minimal environmental costs (S/ 622 annually), resulting in a positive Social Net Present Value (NPV) of S/ 1,147,415.73. In conclusion, Amazonía Azul represents an innovative, economically viable, and socially transformative proposal that promotes sustainable development with a territorial and community focus.
