Análisis de la puesta de escena en el videoclip: el caso Jeremy de Pearl Jam

Resumen
La presente investigación planteó como objetivo identificar la forma en que se manifiesta el
caso de Jeremy Wade Delle en la mise-en-scene del videoclip Jeremy de Pearl Jam, con un
enfoque cualitativo, de nivel descriptivo y diseño no experimental, en el que se estudiaron los
elementos de la puesta en escena de la narración en el videoclip. Como conclusiones se pone
en evidencia que el videoclip Jeremy revela un aspecto importante de la vida de la sociedad
estadounidense durante las décadas de los setenta, ochenta y noventa, caracterizadas por la
violencia social. Un escenario y época en los que se produce el suicidio de Jeremy Wade Delle
a la edad de diecisiete años, reflejando el videoclip, de una manera simbólica, los aspectos más
relevantes de las experiencias, emociones y sentimientos del protagonista, pudiéndose apreciar
similitud entre lo real y lo simbólico en los elementos más relevantes de la narración
audiovisual.
The present research aimed to identify how the case of Jeremy Wade Delle is manifested in the mise-en-scene of the music video "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam, with a qualitative approach, descriptive level, and non-experimental design, in which the elements of the staging of the narrative in the music video were studied. As conclusions, it is evident that the video clip Jeremy reveals an important aspect of the life of American society during the seventies, eighties, and nineties, characterized by social violence. A setting and era in which the suicide of Jeremy Wade Delle occurs at the age of seventeen, with the music video symbolically reflecting the most relevant aspects of the protagonist's experiences, emotions, and feelings, allowing for a similarity between the real and the symbolic in the most significant elements of the audiovisual narrative.
