Abstract
The purpose of this investigation is to analyze and identify the success factor accomplishment levels of the Total Quality Management (TQM) in medium and large companies of the nontraditional Agribusiness sector in Peru. For this study we have used a conceptual framework, achieved by Professor Benzaquen (2013), “Calidad en las empresas latinoamericanas” (Quality in Latin American companies): In Peru’s case, nine success factors of Total Quality Management are compared in different Peruvian companies. For Data collection, a 35-question pole was used, which was led to Managers of the companies which belonged to the study field. Quantitative approach was used, the method was descriptive and it had a non-experimental transactional design. The research population consists of 421 companies classified by PROMPERU (2013) as medium and large companies because they exceed one million dollars in exports; the size of the sample is constituted by 79 companies with a reliability level of 95% and a 10% margin of error. As a conclusion, the non-traditional Agribusiness sector for segments in medium and large companies, just 7.59% has a quality management like ISO. With regard to the nine-factor accomplishment levels of the Total Quality Management (TQM) in the companies that are part of the sample it was concluded that there is a favorable trend to accomplish the requirements of the nine-factor quality, with a score of 3.82. The factor with the highest accomplishment level was the Senior Management, and the factor with the lowest level in which improvement points were obtained was the Customer Satisfaction Approach.
