This Professional Competence (TSP) work aims to analyse the development of selfmanagement skills through an entrepreneurship project with 5th-grade primary school students at a private school in Surco during the third bimester of the year 2024. This experience falls within the thematic area “Curriculum and Didactics” of the FAE PUCP. The objectives are: to describe the professional experience; to develop the conceptual framework for developing self-management skills in teaching finance to primary school students; and to present a critical reflection on the professional achievements of this significant experience and its impact on the teacher's professional profile, with a view to the future. The methodological approach followed was: identifying and selecting the significant experience to describe it in detail; then, developing a conceptual framework through bibliographic research; and finally, conducting a critical reflection on the essential understanding of the problem, the analysis of achievements, and the learning and impact that this experience had on the teacher's professional development. The study demonstrated the importance of teaching finance from primary school onwards to help students develop healthy financial habits and make sound financial decisions in the future. It also highlighted the value of active learning methodologies for developing self-management skills, giving students an active role in the learning process. Finally, this work also revalues the importance of teacher reflection for professional development and the improvement of teaching practices.
