lealtad a largo plazo.
Cardiovascular diseases represent one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, and Peru is no exception. According to recent statistics, more than 40% of the population is at risk of developing heart diseases (Agencia EFE, 2023). This issue has raised growing concern among the relatives of older adults, who seek effective solutions to monitor their health and prevent complications. Several alternatives exist for autonomous health monitoring, including manual blood pressure monitors and advanced technologies such as wearable devices and mobile applications designed to track vital signs. These technological solutions enable the automatic collection of clinical data, including blood pressure measurements, facilitating continuous health monitoring. In response to this issue, the current business model proposes the implementation of T-Cuida, a digital application designed for real-time blood pressure monitoring among older adults in Lima Metropolitana. This tool allows caregivers to access and track users' health data, facilitating symptom monitoring and maintaining a historical record of measurements for medical use. The research methodology is based on the design thinking approach, which enables the identification and understanding of user needs through interviews and surveys. The study was conducted among individuals residing in Lima Metropolitana, providing valuable insights into users' experiences and challenges in managing blood pressure. The findings revealed that 96.8% of respondents expressed willingness to use an application for monitoring their vital signs, supporting the hypothesis of high market acceptance for this product. During the solution development process, quick wins were identified, such as the application's ability to detect early signs of cardiac arrest, its interactive and user-friendly interface, and its real-time online functionalities. In terms of disruptive innovation, the integration of user needs with technical feasibility guided the development of the minimum viable product (MVP). As a result, the application incorporates unique features not found in competing solutions, offering significant benefits in preventing and detecting abnormal variations in users' vital signs. The value proposition of T-Cuida is based on providing a remote monitoring service that benefits both end users and their caregivers. The application follows a freemium business model, granting users access to basic features at no cost, while premium functionalities are available through a monthly subscription. This approach aims to maximize user adoption and foster long-term engagement. Regarding financial feasibility, projected cash flows over a five-year period indicate a positive Net Present Value (NPV) of S/. 3,729,418.96, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 293%, and a Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) of 14.89%, demonstrating the project's financial viability. App T-Cuida is positioned as a key tool for promoting health and well-being, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 by reducing mortality rates and improving the quality of life for older adults. Its social and environmental impact is reflected in reduced fuel consumption and lower CO₂ emissions due to a decrease in inperson medical visits. While the application's use entails electricity consumption, this impact is minimal compared to its environmental benefits. The financial analysis supports its social profitability, as evidenced by a Social NPV of S/. 1,764,942.77, highlighting its substantial contribution to public health and sustainability. The validation of desirability and feasibility was conducted through a structured process involving qualitative research, prototyping, and usability testing. The findings indicate that T-Cuida is not only commercially viable but also holds significant potential to contribute to public health by enabling continuous blood pressure monitoring and early detection of anomalies. In conclusion, the development of T-Cuida represents an effective response to the need for health monitoring tools among older adults. By promoting a proactive approach to healthcare, this application enhances the quality of life for users and their families while addressing a critical public health challenge.
