Abstract
El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar si existen diferencias en el nivel de
desarrollo de la comprensión auditiva en niños de seis años de una institución
educativa pública y otra privada de Arequipa. Se trata de una investigación
descriptiva comparativa, que supone procesos de validez y confiabilidad a través
del criterio de jueces y el método alfa de Cronbach, respectivamente. Se
emplearon baremos de la adaptación peruana para los subtests que componen la
prueba (Vocabulario, Morfología y Sintaxis) al rango etario de seis años. Se logró
establecer comparaciones entre ambos grupos, resultando que existen
diferencias significativas en relación al desarrollo de la comprensión auditiva
según el tipo de gestión (pública y privada), así como, en los componentes de
morfología y sintaxis. Sin embargo, no se hallaron diferencias significativas en el
nivel de desarrollo de la comprensión auditiva en el área de vocabulario entre
estudiantes de seis años, según el tipo de gestión (pública y privada). La
importancia de los resultados de esta investigación radica en la necesidad
educativa de promover la evaluación transversal de la comprensión auditiva en
los estudiantes, con el fin de monitorear cualquier deficiencia que pueda interferir
en el aprendizaje posterior para recibir el tratamiento especializado.
The objective of the research was to determine if there are differences in the level of development of listening comprehension in six-year-old children from a public and a private educational institution in Arequipa. This is a comparative descriptive research, which involves validity and reliability processes through judges' criteria and Cronbach's alpha method, respectively. Scales of the Peruvian adaptation were used for the subtests (Vocabulary, Morphology and Syntax) for the age range of six years. Within the findings, comparisons were established between both groups, resulting in significant differences in relation to the development of listening comprehension according to the type of management (public and private), as well as in the components of morphology and syntax. However, no significant differences were found in the level of development of listening comprehension in the area of vocabulary among six-year-old students, according to the type of management (public and private). The importance of the results of this research lies in the educational need to promote the transversal evaluation of listening comprehension in students, in order to monitor any deficiency that may interfere with subsequent learning to receive specialized treatment.
