Abstract

The objective of this business consulting was to determine the main problem that is affecting the company; therefore, the following six problems were identified: (a) slowness in the company's processes; (b) absence of a marketing area; (c) difficulty in adapting to the demands of new customers; (d) inadequate management of human talent; (e) technical difficulties with business management software; and (f) absence of a technology, reserch and development area. The inadequate management of human talent was selected as the main problem and in order to identify this problem, it was essential to hold meetings between the group of consultants and the managers or representatives of DRILLCORP, as well as the design of different matrices and the Diagram of Ishikawa to find the causes. It was possible to determine that the absence of conditions for the retention of personnel, limited investigation and identification of internal and external aspects in the management of human talent, and the absence of a training plan were the main causes of the problem. For this reason, reserch on human talent management processes was designed as the first alternative, as a second alternative, the design of a personnel training program and, finally, as a third alternative, the design of a retention plan. of personnel for DRILLCORP. For the implementation of these three options, an investment of S/300,000.00 is required, which would be recovered in six months and eight days, in addition to confirming the economic viability of the project for the company appointment by obtaining the following results: (a) a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/2’081,519.15; (b) an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 200% (greater than the WACC of 16.10%); (c) a benefit/cost indicator is greater than 1 (7.94); and (d) payback period of 0.52.
