ansiedad competitiva.
The main objective of this research was to know the relationship between motivational climate and competitive anxiety in a group of runners. The instruments used were the Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire 2 (PMCSQ-2) and the Competitive Sport Anxiety Inventory 2 Revised (CSAI-2R). The following correlations were found: a significant, positive, medium relationship between cognitive anxiety and ego-oriented climate (r(124) = .37; p < .001); a significant, positive, medium correlation between somatic anxiety and ego-oriented climate (r(124) = .34; p < .001); and significant, negative, medium relationship between self-confidence and ego-oriented climate (r(124) = -.32; p < .001). Additionally, a significant, positive, medium relationship was found between task-oriented motivational climate and the self-confidence dimension (r(124) = .49; p < .001). Finally, no significant differences were observed regarding sex and years of sports practice in relation to competitive anxiety.
