Insecurity is a growing problem in several countries and in Peru, due to the increase in crime rates. In response to this, the Peruvian National Police has been implementing the strategy of exceptional or early dismissal of non-commissioned officers, in order to increase the number of personnel in crime prevention and close the human resources gaps in the institution. However, this strategy has raised concerns about the excellence of the training of new police officers, as the lack of adequate planning may affect their ability to respond to ongoing security problems. To address this problem, it is proposed to implement a “virtual police training and hybrid learning platform”, combining virtual and face-to-face training resources to offer new police officers flexible and tailored access to learning materials. The main objective of this innovation is to ensure that new police officers acquire the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively. In the long term, it is expected that this solution will not only improve efficiency in the delivery of police services, but also increase the level of community satisfaction in the Peruvian National Police, thus contributing to improve the quality of life of the people in a safer scenario for all.
