Análisis descriptivo del clúster en educación posgrado en administración de empresas en Lima Metropolitana

Abstract

La investigación determina el nivel de desempeño económico en el clúster de educación Posgrado en Administración de empresas en Lima Metropolitana, a través de la medición cuantitativa, y mediante el uso de la metodología propuesta por Morosini (2004), en su estudio “Industrial Clusters, Knowledge Integration and Performance”, quien plantea la siguiente hipótesis: “Cuanto mayor sea el grado de integración del conocimiento entre las empresas-miembro y cuanto mayor sea el alcance global de la competencia de las empresasmiembro, mayor será el desempeño económico de los clústers industriales” (p. 316). Para este estudio, se realizaron encuestas a los directores, docentes y egresados de las escuelas de negocios, quienes actualmente ocupan puestos directivos, así como a autoridades de instituciones reguladoras como la Asamblea Nacional de Rectores (ANR) y el Sistema Nacional de Acreditación, Evaluación y Certificación de la Calidad educativa (SINEACE). Para la realización de las encuestas, se emplearon cuestionarios semiestructurados, que permitieron obtener información y explicar las variables que definen la hipótesis anterior. Los resultados muestran un desempeño económico medio del clúster de educación superior en Posgrado en Lima Metropolitana. Asimismo, nos permite realizar una aproximación cercana de la estructura del clúster en estudio, encontrándose este en una etapa emergente. Sin embargo, existen grandes oportunidades para el fomento de iniciativas en aquellos elementos claves, como un enfoque o cultura organizacional uniforme, que promueva una mayor competitividad global para las escuelas de negocios en el Perú. De ese modo, se elevaría su desempeño para ofrecer productos de calidad superior. Por último, se propone la necesidad de una mayor participación del Estado en el financiamiento de la investigación e infraestructura, además de la formación de organizaciones de nivel meso que fomenten iniciativas de cooperación entre las escuelas de negocios.

The research determines the level of economic performance in the cluster of higher education in management in Metropolitan Lima, through the quantitative measurement, and by using the method proposed by Morosini, in his study “Industrial Clusters, Knowledge Integration and Performance”, who posed the following hypothesis: The greater the degree of integration of knowledge between companies-member and the greater the scope of global competition for the companies-member, the greater the economic performance of industrial clusters". For this study, surveys were conducted to the directors, faculty and graduates of business schools, who at present hold management positions, as well as to authorities for regulatory bodies such as the National Assembly of Rectors (ANR) and the National Accreditation System, Evaluation and Certification of the quality of education (SINEACE). For the realization of the surveys, semi structured questionnaires were used, which allowed us to obtain information and explain the variables that define the previous hypothesis. The results show an average economic performance of the cluster of higher education in management in Metropolitan Lima. It also enables us to perform a close approximation of the structure of the cluster in study, found this in a pop-up stage. However, there are great opportunities for the promotion of initiatives in those key elements, such as a uniform approach or organizational culture, that promote a mayor global competitiveness for the business schools in Peru. In this way, their performance would rise to offer better quality products. Finally, it proposes the need for greater participation of the State in the financing of research and infrastructure, in addition to the establishment of organizations that promote cooperation initiatives between business schools.
