University dropout, particularly during the first year of studies, is a critical social issue that affects students, their families, universities, and society at large. Various studies have identified that the main causes of this phenomenon are the lack of proper vocational guidance and inadequate financial planning to cover the costs of university life. University dropout not only results in the loss of talent but also has a negative impact on the economic and social development of communities. In response to this challenge, it is crucial to offer solutions that address the underlying causes of university dropout, contributing to educational retention and social inclusion. This work proposes Studiape, a web platform designed to meet the needs of young people at the beginning of their university journey. Using design thinking methodologies, the frustrations and shortcomings of students and their families were identified, leading to the development of a solution that provides vocational guidance, information about careers, and financial planning tools. Through the use of agile methodologies, a minimum viable product was prototyped and validated with students and parents. The expected impact of Studiape is significant: an initial investment of S/. 90,000 was analyzed, along with projected cash flows over a five-year period, resulting in a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/. 3.3 million and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 789%, demonstrating the project's financial viability. On the social aspect, Studiape is expected to generate a social benefit equivalent to S/. 7.4 million in savings for the families of students involved in the project over the five-year period.
