Resumen
El presente análisis estratégico sobre el sector del plástico en el Perú ha sido
elaborado con el propósito de conocer los aspectos externos e internos de la industria a fin de
determinar el efecto que ejercen sobre esta, y así poder realizar un análisis pertinente que
permita plantear diferentes estrategias con la finalidad de contar con una industria atractiva
de manufactura no primaria en la fabricación de productos de plástico hacia el 2027. En este
sentido, se han determinado cinco objetivos de largo plazo, maximizar el ROE de las
empresas participantes en la industria, aumentar las ventas participando de manera activa en
la conformación del PBI, generar más puestos de trabajo en beneficio de la comunidad
vinculada, mejorar los procesos en beneficio del margen bruto e incrementar el registro de
patentes a través de la investigación y desarrollo; todo ello con el propósito de alcanzar la
visión planteada para la industria, y así obtener el crecimiento rentable y sostenible que se
desea lograr para consolidarse como un referente en la industria de Latinoamérica.
El Perú se ha ratificado como un país con amplia biodiversidad y una ubicación
privilegiada, convirtiéndose en una plaza atractiva para los negocios en la región de
Latinoamérica, con capacidad de atender las necesidades del mundo. Todo este potencial se
ha visto reflejado en la estabilidad de los indicadores macroeconómicos durante los últimos
15 años, a ello se suma la experiencia y versatilidad con que cuenta la industria, además es
reconocida por ofrecer productos de alta calidad. Este escenario ha permitido identificar
oportunidades de negocio con otras actividades económicas, así como el desarrollo de
productos explotando el uso de materiales reciclados ajustándose así a las nuevas tendencias
de consumo. Luego de concluido el análisis del presente planeamiento estratégico, se han
retenido ocho estrategias que buscan satisfacer las diferentes necesidades de logro para los
principales actores que conforman la industria, con el propósito que el documento sea
utilizado por las asociaciones, organismos o entidades en beneficio de la misma
The present strategic analysis about the plastic sector in Peru has been elaborated with the purpose of knowing the external and internal aspects of the industry in order to determine the influence on that, and thus to be able to make a pertinent analysis that allows to raise different strategies in order to have an attractive non-primary manufacturing industry in the making of plastic products by 2027. In this regard, five long-term objectives have been identified, maximize the ROE of the participating companies in the industry, increase sales actively participating in the GDP composition, generate more job positions for the benefit of the stakeholders, improve the processes to benefit gross margin and elevate the patents registration through research and development; all with the aim of achieving the vision set for the industry, in order to reach the profitable and sustainable growth desired to accomplish the consolidation as a benchmark in Latin American industry. Peru has been ratified as a country with wide biodiversity and an exceptional location, becoming an attractive place for business in the Latin America region, with ability to serve the needs of the world. All this potential has been reflected in the stability of the macroeconomic indicators during the last 15 years, in addition to the experience and versatility of the industry, which is recognized for offering high quality products. This scenario has allowed identifying business opportunities with other economic activities, as well as the development of products exploiting the use of recycled materials, adjusting to new consumption trends. After completing the analysis of the present strategic planning, eight strategies have been retained that seek to satisfy the different achievement needs for the main actors that make up the industry, so that the document is used by the associations, agencies or entities for the benefit from it
