Modelo ProLab: RapiMedic como una solución innovadora para la atención ambulatoria rápida, eficiente y cercana en Lima Metropolitana

Abstract

El acceso a servicios de salud ambulatoria en Lima Metropolitana enfrenta serias limitaciones estructurales. La escasez de infraestructura, la alta demanda en zonas densamente pobladas y la falta de personal provocan largas esperas, baja calidad percibida y sobrecarga en hospitales. Según el Banco Mundial, el 98 % de los centros de atención primaria carece de equipamiento adecuado, mientras que estudios locales revelan que el 60 % de los ciudadanos opta por automedicarse ante problemas leves. Estas condiciones exigen soluciones disruptivas que ofrezcan atención rápida, accesible y resolutiva. En respuesta, este proyecto propone RapiMedic, un modelo de atención médica rápida, centrado en resolver dolencias comunes mediante consultorios de medicina general, sin necesidad de citas, con atención por orden de llegada, integración de farmacia interna y ubicación estratégica en zonas de alta afluencia laboral o comercial. La solución fue validada mediante una encuesta a 300 personas, entrevistas en profundidad y el diseño de un Producto Mínimo Viable (PMV) iterado en tres versiones, cumpliendo estándares normativos del MINSA. La investigación fue guiada por metodologías Lean Startup y Design Thinking, e incluyó el uso del lienzo 6x6 para detectar las principales necesidades del usuario: rapidez, accesibilidad, continuidad en la atención y conveniencia. El modelo de negocio demuestra viabilidad financiera, escalabilidad territorial y eficiencia operativa. El análisis financiero proyecta un VAN Económico de S/ 3’302,265, una TIR Económica del 60.5 % +. A nivel social, el proyecto genera un VAN Social de S/ 6’648,831.65. Asimismo, el IRS promedio total resultante es 30%.Se concluye que RapiMedic es una propuesta viable, estratégica y con alto potencial de impacto social, ya que contribuye directamente a mejorar el acceso a salud, descongestionar hospitales y generar bienestar en sectores medios urbanos. Su implementación se alinea con tres Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible: Salud y Bienestar (ODS 3), Trabajo decente y crecimiento económico (ODS 8) y Ciudades y Comunidades Sostenibles (ODS 11).

Access to outpatient healthcare services in Lima Metropolitana faces serious structural limitations. The shortage of infrastructure, high demand in densely populated areas, and insufficient medical personnel result in long waiting times, low perceived quality, and hospital overcrowding. According to the World Bank, 98% of primary care centers lack adequate medical equipment, while local studies reveal that approximately 60% of citizens resort to selfmedication for minor conditions. These circumstances demand disruptive solutions that offer fast, accessible, and effective care. In response, this project proposes RapiMedic, a rapid medical care model designed to address common illnesses through general medicine consultations, without the need for prior appointments. The service is based on a walk-in queue system, includes an integrated in-house pharmacy, and is strategically located in high-traffic commercial or business areas. The solution was validated through a survey of 300 participants, in-depth interviews, and the development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), which was iterated through three versions in compliance with MINSA regulations. The research was guided by Lean Startup and Design Thinking methodologies and incorporated the 6x6 Canvas to identify the main user needs: speed, accessibility, continuity of care, and convenience. The business model demonstrates financial viability, territorial scalability and a strong focus on operational efficiency. The financial analysis projects an Economic NPV of S/ 3’302,265 and an Economic IRR of over 60.5%. At the social level, the project generates a Social NPV of S/ 6’648,831.65. In addition, the resulting average total IRS is 30%. It is concluded that RapiMedic is a viable and strategic proposal with high potential for social impact, as it directly contributes to improving healthcare access, reducing the burden on hospitals, and enhancing the well-being of middle-income urban populations. Its implementation is aligned with three Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) and Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11).
