Abstract
In Modern Lima, 589,200 senior citizens face challenges of isolation and loss of independence, exacerbated by population dynamics and social changes. To address this, Cuida+, an innovative business model, emerges to provide assistance and companionship to this segment, connecting older adults with university students seeking flexible employment. Cuida+ stands out for its digital and personalized approach, based on a thorough analysis of the market and the specific needs of the users, identifying both the elderly and the students as key beneficiaries. The development of Cuida+ involved a rigorous evaluation, including the validation of essential hypotheses to confirm its desirability, feasibility, viability, and sustainability. The willingness of the elderly to adopt and finance digital services was examined, assessing whether these services met their needs. Simultaneously, the expectations of the students regarding compensation and ease of use of the platform were considered. The validation showed high acceptance of the service by both groups, reaffirming the model's desirability. Financially, Cuida+ has proven to be a viable project. A projected cash flow analysis over five years revealed a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/3,818,528 and a Social Net Present Value (SNPV) of S/11,406,158, demonstrating its financial solidity and potential. The project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, promoting the health and well-being of the elderly and offering employment opportunities to university students. Due to its proven effectiveness, financial viability, and alignment with global social objectives, the implementation and investment in Cuida+ is highly recommended.
