activa y compromiso social.

The theoretical framework was based on contributions from specialists, as well as reports from UNESCO and the OEI. The study follows a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with arts teachers and classroom observations. The analysis was organized into categories and subcategories related to the development of creative thinking, critical thinking, active citizenship, and collective problem-solving, complemented by pedagogical strategies and teachers’ perceptions. The methodological procedure included transcription, coding, and data triangulation. The results show that practices in arts education become meaningful spaces for social transformation when they integrate creative expression, critical thinking, and collaborative work in a contextualized way. Furthermore, from the teachers’ perspective, these experiences strengthen students’ creative, socio-emotional, and cultural development, consolidating art as a means for building identity, active citizenship, and social commitment.
