Abstract
En el nivel de educación superior, la comunicación y la interacción entre
los docentes y los estudiantes se han dinamizado y evolucionado marcadamente
en las últimas décadas debido a la integración de las TIC. En este contexto, se
aprecia que el smartphone logra constituirse como la herramienta digital con
mayor versatilidad, aplicabilidad e impacto en el ámbito educativo.
Por este motivo, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo recopilar,
analizar y difundir la información expuesta en artículos de investigación
relacionados al uso del smartphone, en los entornos de aprendizaje de
estudiantes universitarios de América Latina y el Caribe. Los resultados
obtenidos evidencian el rol del smartphone como herramienta de
intercomunicación entre los docentes y estudiantes para el desarrollo de
actividades curriculares; así como su uso preferencial en la educación a
distancia.
At the higher education level, communication and interaction between teachers and students have become dynamic and have evolved markedly in recent decades due to the integration of ICTs. In this context, it can be appreciated that the smartphone manages to establish itself as the digital tool with the greatest versatility, applicability and impact in the educational field. For this reason, this research aims to collect, analyze and disseminate the information presented in research articles related to the use of smartphones in the learning environments of university students in Latin America and the Caribbean. The results obtained show the role of the smartphone as an intercommunication tool between teachers and students for the development of curricular activities; as well as its preferential use in distance education.
