Abstract
This document is a strategic planning for Universidad Continental, which has been designed using the sequential model developed by D'Alessio (2015). This university was founded in the 90s and has infrastructure in the cities of Huancayo, Arequipa, Cusco and Lima, offering 29 undergraduate programs, as well as various graduate programs, aimed at Business Sciences, Health Sciences, Engineering and Humanities. Currently it is processing its institutional licensing by the National Superintendence of Higher Education University (SUNEDU), which is the regulatory body. For the year 2015, Universidad Continental had 22,391 students, equivalent to 1.7% of the total number of students enrolled in all the Peruvian universities (SUNEDU, 2016). For the year 2016, this university was ranked 13th in the ranking of universities in Peru, which was published by América Economía (2016). To turn it into a more competitive institution, achieving objectives such as the increase in the number of students enrolled and graduates, intensive strategies will be implemented. Among which is included the development of new undergraduate careers in virtual modality and the creation of tailor-made courses for private companies and public bodies. Likewise, the penetration in the Lima market will be increased and more graduates and other postgraduate courses will be developed, along with the development of degree programs to increase the number of professionals graduated. With this, the vision will be reached by 2027, which proposes positioning the organization among the five best universities in Peru, training highly qualified and ethical professionals that contribute to the country's development, incorporating research and technology as tools to innovate
