Abstract
Until the year 2020, Peru registered 3’360,473 inhabitants with some physical or mental disability, being a sector with different needs to improve their quality of life. Many people with disabilities experience difficulties when carrying out their daily activities, one of them being the use of conventional clothing, causing them more time to dress and undress, bodily discomfort, frustration, and extra cost for the modification of their clothing. In 2021, it was identified that 61.7% of people with disabilities depended on a person to carry out their daily activities, and dressing being one with the greatest dependence. After carrying out the market analysis, the importance of the use of clothing with appropriate characteristics for people with disabilities was identified. Seeking the solution to this problem, we proceed with the creation of "Sumaq Clothes", an innovative proposal that is related to the design, manufacture, and marketing of ergonomic clothing, with characteristics appropriate to their motor needs. Sumaq Clothes, will provide clothing, adding ergonomic details in the preparation, using cotton as a raw material, incorporating the use of Velcro, zippers on the sides of the pants and baggy design. Likewise, its value proposition is associated with functionality, comfort, fashion, and economic accessibility. The business project made it possible to obtain a NPV of 3’472,919.48 PEN, in addition to maintaining a constant sales index based on sustainability criteria.
