Abstract
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo evaluar la efectividad del programa
Lectura Independiente para desarrollar la comprensión de textos en estudiantes de
tercer grado de primaria de una institución educativa particular de Lima. El diseño
de la metodología empleada es cuasi - experimental. La población está conformada
por 54 alumnas de 3 grado de primaria, de las cuales 27 formaron parte del grupo
experimental y las 27 restantes del grupo control. El instrumento utilizado como
pretest y postest es la Evaluación de Comprensión lectora (ECLE – 1). Tras la
aplicación del programa se puede evidenciar que la comprensión lectora del grupo
experimental mejoró significativamente. Por lo tanto, se concluye que el programa
Lectura Independiente es efectivo para desarrollar la comprensión lectora.
The research’s objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Independent Reading program to develop the comprehension of texts in students of third grade of primary of a educational institution in Lima. The design of the methodology used is quasi - experimental. The population is confirmed by 54 students of third grade of primary, of which 27 were part of the experimental group and the remaining 27 of the control group. The instrument used as pretest and posttest is the Evaluación de Comprensión Lectora (ECLE - 1). After the application of the program it can be evidenced that the reading comprehension of the experimental group improved remarkably. Therefore, it is concluded that the Independent Reading program is effective to develop reading comprehension.
