Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze the conceptions of psychologists working in two Penitentiary Establishments (E.P.) located in Metropolitan Lima about the femininities of women incarcerated for the crime of Illicit Drug Trafficking (TID). It is framed in the qualitative paradigm from the approach of grounded theory. The information collection technique used is the semi-structured interview, which allows to know the conceptions of the participants about the incarcerated women, being their own processes of socialization, their training and their current work as psychologists of an E.P. of women, important aspects to consider for the study. It is found that their conceptions revolve around two areas: a) hegemonic feminities in the prison context and b) doubly transgressive feminities. The findings show that psychologists express a differentiated valuation of imprisoned women, according to whether they are closer or father from the hegemonic “women” stereotype. In addition, they understand maternity as a “way” for their resocialization.
