Abstract
quechuahablantes.
The fundamental purpose of this study is to fully translate the Bedside language battery to Southern Quechua, for its application on Quechua-speaking aphasic patients. The goal of this document is to achieve aphasia detection in Quechuaspeakers with brain injuries. This battery evaluates five fields, whichwere adapted in order to achieve a correct translation, which was carried out by profesional, government-authorized translators. In order to verify the fidelity of this translation, the test was given to a total of 372 Quechua-speakers. Afterwards, we tested four Quechua-speaking aphasic patients, obtaining the same results as their previous diagnostics. The results prove that the test is intelligible in its entirety, since none of the translated fields were scrutinized by the judges. Therefore, we make this instrument available for its application on Quechua-speaking aphasic patients.
