Abstract
La presente investigación, centrada en la coyuntura actual, busca promover la
educación ambiental en niños de 4 años a través de la creación de espacios verdes
en el hogar con el fin de sensibilizar a las familias sobre el cuidado ambiental. Por ello,
se plantea como objetivo general analizar la importancia de crear espacios verdes que
promuevan la educación ambiental en niños de 4 años a través de sesiones virtuales.
El estudio responde al enfoque cualitativo desde la metodología investigación acción
en los niveles descriptivo y analítico. La investigación describe los espacios verdes
creados en el hogar y analiza las competencias desarrolladas por los estudiantes
durante el proyecto aplicado. Para organizar la información se consideró como
categorías: educación ambiental, políticas educativas en favor de la Educación
ambiental, competencias curriculares de Ciencia y Tecnología, descripción de
espacios verdes, rol mediador del docente, desempeño del estudiante y apoyo
familiar. Para abordar el análisis de información se utilizaron los siguientes
instrumentos: guía de observación y guía de entrevista. En el proyecto participaron 5
familias de una institución pública del distrito de Pueblo Libre. La principal conclusión
fue que la creación de espacios verdes en el hogar es importante porque ayuda a
sensibilizar a los niños en temas de cuidado y conservación de las áreas verdes.
Asimismo, contribuye a que puedan desarrollar actitudes de responsabilidad,
capacidades para investigar e identificar problemas ambientales. Esto fomenta la
participación ciudadana ambiental responsable con el entorno social.
This research, focused on the current situation, seeks to promote environmental education in 4-year-old children through the creation of green spaces at home in order to sensitize families about environmental care. Therefore, the general objective is to analyze the importance of creating green spaces that promote environmental education in 4-year-old children through virtual sessions. The study responds to the qualitative approach from the action research methodology at the descriptive and analytical levels. Research structure justified by the interest in describing the green spaces created at home and analyzing the skills developed by the students during the applied project. To organize the information, the following categories were considered: environmental education, educational policies in favor of environmental education, science and technology curricular competencies, description of green spaces, the mediator role of the teacher, student performance and family support. To address the information analysis, the following instruments were used: observation guide and interview guide. Five families from a public institution in the Pueblo Libre district participated in the project. As a main conclusion, the creation of green spaces at home is important because it helps to sensitize children regarding issues of care and conservation of green areas. Likewise, it helps them to develop attitudes of responsibility, capacities to investigate and identify environmental problems. This encourages responsible environmental citizen participation with the social environment.
