Abstract
The research analyzes the romantic experiences of young university women from the PUCP and their impact on their life projects. The hypothesis suggests that, despite being in a context that promotes gender equality, university women from the PUCP tend to prioritize their love experiences over their life projects. The study was carried out through semi-structured interviews with university women and their partners. Its academic relevance is based on the importance of the studies of couple relationships, since the structures and institutions that previously guided the love experience have been transformed today. In addition, the study of love from a sociological perspective reveals the inequality and disadvantage that women structurally suffer. The results show that university women defend their professional projects, but face the ambivalence that current love relationships imply. In addition, they consider marriage and motherhood as part of their life projects, although with a certain skepticism and some idealization influenced by romantic love.
