Abstract
HLC Ingeniería y Construcción S.A.C., fundada en el año 2000, es una empresa que
brinda soluciones integrales a sus clientes abarcando estudios metalúrgicos, desarrollo de
estudios e ingeniería, suministro y fabricación de estructuras metalmecánicas, así como
equipos especiales, construcción y puesta en marcha para proyectos tipo Engineering,
Procurement and Construction (EPC), para los sectores minero-metalúrgicos, oil & gas e
industrial y otros. Todas las operaciones cuentan con el respaldo de certificaciones de
sistemas integrados de gestión como la Internacional Organization for Standardization ISO
9001, ISO 45001 y homologación de proveedores por el Instituto Colombiano de Normas
Técnicas y Certificación (ICONTEC).
Para la identificación del problema principal, se realizaron entrevistas con la gerencia
general y los jefes de área, determinándose que, el problema principal es la deficiente
capacidad de producción que incrementa el deadline de los proyectos de ingeniería y
construcción. Para tal efecto, se observó que las causas raíz principales, están relacionadas
con las deficiencias en la gestión estratégica, inspección continua en el flujo de operaciones y
la capacidad instalada insuficiente. Además, se realizó el análisis externo e interno, así como
la revisión de literatura que, sirvió como base para proponer alternativas de mejora, tales
como: matriz de orientación estratégica, incrementar la capacidad de máquinas para
fabricación, tablero de mando integral y sistema integral de gestión de costos.
Para la evaluación financiera, el proyecto es viable, obteniéndose resultados para tres
escenarios (optimista, realista y pesimista). A continuación, se presentan resultados de
indicadores financieros para el principal escenario (realista): Tasa Interna de Retorno
Económico (TIRE) de 87.14%, Valor Actual Neto Económico (VANE) de S/. 2,585,004.67 y
Período de Recuperación Descontado de 1.52 años.

All operations are backed by certifications from integrated management systems such as the International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and approval of suppliers by the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC). In addition, the external and internal analysis was carried out, as well as the literature review that served as a basis to propose improvement alternatives, such as: strategic orientation matrix, increase the capacity of machines for manufacturing, integral control panel and integral system cost management.
