This project proposes the development and implementation of the EcoProtec business model—an eco-friendly waterproofing solution made from end-of-life tires (ELTs)—as an innovative, sustainable, and economically viable solution to address the growing environmental pollution caused by the improper disposal of this waste materials in Peru. Due to its slow degradation, the accumulation of ELTs represents a serious threat to public health, the environment, and urban infrastructure, with high potential for breeding grounds for disease-carrying vectors, and the environmental damage resulting from their burning or abandonment. EcoProtec addresses this issue by valorizing ELTs and transforming them into a highdemand, high-utility product in the national market. Developed under the principles of circular economy and sustainability, the product offers a high-quality waterproofing solution with durability, weather resistance, and added benefits such as improved acoustic performance and structural aesthetics. The business model has been structured using tools such as Design Thinking and Business Model Canvas, enabling the validation of the product’s market desirability, as well as its technical, operational feasibility, and financial viability. Market research, laboratory testing, and financial analysis project a favorable scenario for the implementation of EcoProtec, with the potential to capture 10% of the target market within five years. The Financial NPV is S/ 5’176,297.12 and the IRR is 210%. The Social NPV is de S/ 1’995,783.77. In addition, opportunities for regional growth and expansion have been identified, particularly in countries facing similar challenges. EcoProtec not only contributes to reducing environmental impact, but also creates economic value, employment, and enhances urban living conditions, positioning itself as a business proposal aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
