Resumen
Las empresas familiares desempeñan un papel clave en el crecimiento y desarrollo
económico, al contribuir significativamente a la generación de empleo y al dinamismo
financiero. Sin embargo, la transición generacional representa un desafío
considerable, dado que solo el 30% de estas empresas sobrevive hasta la segunda
generación y un porcentaje aún menor alcanza la tercera. Este reto, no obstante, abre
una oportunidad para implementar estrategias de gestión que aseguren su
permanencia en el tiempo. El propósito de esta investigación es analizar cómo la
gestión de la organización influye en la continuidad generacional, centrándose en el
estilo de liderazgo y la influencia de la profesionalización en la rentabilidad. El estudio
toma como caso de análisis a la empresa familiar Los Fenicios E.I.R.L., actualmente
en su segunda generación, para ello, se aplicaron cuestionarios al líder y a los
colaboradores, y se llevó a cabo un análisis para evaluar la relación entre la
profesionalización y la rentabilidad, determinando cómo una variable impacta a la otra.
Los resultados de la investigación revelaron que el liderazgo transformacional es el
estilo predominante en la organización y que la profesionalización tiene un efecto
positivo sobre la rentabilidad, se concluye que una gestión eficiente, basada en un
liderazgo asertivo y un proceso de profesionalización adecuado, es determinante para
garantizar la continuidad de las empresas familiares a lo largo de generaciones.
Family businesses are an engine of growth and development, contributing significantly to job creation and economic dynamism. However, the generational transition is presented as an important obstacle, since only 30% manage to maintain themselves until the second generation and a smaller percentage reaches the third. This challenge represents an opportunity to implement management strategies that guarantee continuity of this type. of companies over time. Therefore, the objective of this research is to understand how the management of the organization impacts its generational continuity, for which it seeks to identify and analyze the leadership style of a family business and evaluate how professionalization influences its profitability, taking as case study of the family business Los Fenicios E.I.R.L. currently in its second generation, where questionnaires were applied to both the leader and the collaborators of the organization, and an analysis was carried out to identify the relationship between the variables of professionalization and profitability, in order to identify the impact of one on the other. At the end of the research, it was determined that transformational leadership is the predominant style in the organization, it was also confirmed that professionalization influences the profitability of the company and it was concluded that effective management, supported by assertive leadership and an adequate professionalization process They contribute decisively to the continuity of family businesses through their generations.
