Abstract
El departamento del Huila está conformado por 37 municipios, la capital del
departamento es la ciudad de Neiva, localizado al suroccidente del país entre los 3° 55’ 12’’ y 1°
30’ 04’’ de latitud norte entre el nacimiento del Río Riachón (municipio de Colombia) y el pico
de la Fragua (municipio de Acevedo), y los 74° 25’ 24´´ y 76° 35´ 16´´ de longitud al oeste del
meridiano de Greenwich entre el Alto de las Oseras (municipio de Colombia) y el páramo de las
Papas (municipio de San Agustín). El área del departamento del Huila es de 19.900 Km2 que
corresponde al 1,8% de la superficie total de Colombia. Tiene una población total de 1.154.777
habitantes con un Producto Interno Bruto de $8.708 millones.
Siguiendo los resultados obtenidos con herramientas como PESTE y AMOFHIT, se
diseñó un plan estratégico con vigencia 2027 en el que se potencializan las fortalezas y
oportunidades y a la vez mitigan el impacto de las amenazas y debilidades externas e internas del
Departamento.
La visión del Huila busca establecer bienestar económico y social sostenible a través de la
educación de sus habitantes, fortalecer las instituciones gubernamentales asegurando el uso
eficiente de los recursos públicos e impulsar los sectores productivos a través de inversión en
infraestructura. Con el fin de conseguir el alcance de esta visión se diseñaron veinte estrategias
que serán fiscalizadas a través de seis objetivos de largo plazo.
La educación como motor de desarrollo y la creación de asociaciones turísticas,
piscicultoras y agropecuarias, son el eje vertical que será controlado a través de un tablero de
control dinámico que busca obtener retroalimentación constante para dinamizar el crecimiento
del Departamento sustentado y sostenible

Huila's vision seeks to establish sustainable economic and social well-being through the education of its citizens, strengthen government institutions, ensuring the efficient use of public resources and boost productive sectors through infrastructure investment. To achieve the scope of this vision, twenty strategies were designed and will be monitored through six long-term objectives. Education as a motor of development and the creation of tourism associations, fish farmers and agriculture, are the vertical axis that will be controlled through a dynamic Balance Scorecard that seeks constant feedback to boost the growth of the sustainable and sustainable Department
