Abstract
The present investigation, framed in the action-research modality, proposes that artistic languages favor the development of humor in 5-year-old children through virtual classrooms. The research problem arises as an alternative to the symptoms of anxiety, stress and depression suffered by children and their families, due to Covid-19, and problems with peer interaction, emotional self-regulation, unsupervised participation, and difficulties with unstructured activities. This, to propose a methodology that motivates, promotes free expression, creativity, optimism, and resilience, making the learning process more enjoyable and dynamic. To accomplish this goal, an Action Plan is designed to provide detailed information about the artistic language sessions to be applied. The analysis and interpretation of the information collected verifies the proposed action hypothesis, since it is shown that artistic languages are resources that promote joy, happiness, well-being, pleasure, fun, and creativity, which are important aspects in the development of humor in children of 5 years. For this reason, the use of these languages is highlighted to incorporate the pedagogy of humor in both virtual and physical classrooms, since this makes the learning process more enjoyable and meaningful, which is essential for the integral child development.
