Abstract
There are several successful applicable examples of shared value in companies from different sectors worldwide. However, in Peru, previous existence of research or similar cases was not observed within the sector subject to study. This research is aimed at identifying the shared value components in the housebuilding sector in Lima Metropolitan Area, and recognizing which of them showed greater relevance in sampled companies. As a first step, existing literature related to the shared value concept was reviewed in order to investigate its characteristics and scopes, as well as their relationship with other corporate philosophies. As for the methodology, a quantitative approach based on data collection was used to describe sector performance in the shared value components and their relevance. To this end, vertical and horizontal analysis was conducted in order to identify the relationship among the variables of the non-probabilistic sample and the performance of the sector between years 2013 to 2015. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations, as a methodological result, show that the companies, as a global result in housebuilding sector, were based at a low level of knowledge, preparation and application in shared value concept and components
