Abstract
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been gaining relevance internationally, however, in Peru there are still few empirical studies that allow to know its impact on the consumer. This research seeks to determine the influence that CSR has on the purchasing behavior of consumers of disposable razors, men from 25 to 30 years of age, in Metropolitan Lima. An experimental study was developed applying the discrete choice method with the aim of being able to quantify the purchase intention and willingness to pay (DAP) for the social responsibility actions developed by the companies. The experiment was carried out using a sample of 132 consumers in Metropolitan Lima, applying a non-probabilistic sampling method (convenience sampling). The research provides empirical evidence of the positive relationship between corporate social responsibility and purchasing behavior. The results of the study indicate that the effect of CSR as a whole is the same as that of corporate competencies (CC). This thesis is an extension of the scope of doctoral research by Professor Percy Samoel Marquina Feldman, "The influence of corporate social responsibility on the purchasing behavior of Peruvian consumers" (Marquina, 2009). This thesis seeks to validate whether the relationship originally identified by Professor Marquina is also presented in the category of disposable razors, as the author suggests in his final recommendations. With the authorization of the author, parts of his thesis have been used, especially regarding the revision of literature and method.
