Datacont S.A.C is a Peruvian company established in 1968, focusing on the sale, leasing, outsourcing of services, and offering technological solutions from various brands for the printing of documents and digital images. Initially, the company focused on selling cash registers, advancing towards digital technology. Currently, it represents brands such as Canon, Kodak, Image Access, Sony, IRIS, and others. In the past two years, Datacont S.A.C. has included the commercialization of drones manufactured by the renowned brand DJI in its portfolio. The purpose of this Business Consulting was to determine the main challenges impacting Datacont S.A.C.'s competitiveness and to offer ideas to enhance its performance. The internal evaluation identified the lack of investment in R&D as the company's primary issue. However, other secondary issues were identified, such as the lack of advancements in digitization and outsourcing services, and the absence of organized methods for incorporating new technologies. The external evaluation suggested that digitization is a significant factor in boosting the company's competitiveness, opening new possibilities for providing digital service solutions that satisfactorily meet customer demands. The consulting team, supported by the IT Manager, developed three solution alternatives for the lack of investment in R&D, which were examined in detail. From these, it was concluded that developing a Continuous Innovation Program at Datacont is a viable alternative that aligns with Datacont's organizational goals. The investment required for this project is S/324,200.00. The economic analysis of the proposal shows an NPV of S/289,397.78, an IRR of 52%, and a payback period of two years. These results indicate that the investment is viable and a significant return is expected. With the implementation of this solution, a 15% annual increase in digitalization service sales is expected. Therefore, it is considered that through the actions of the Continuous Innovation Program, Datacont will be able to identify new opportunities to develop innovative solutions. This program aims to promote a culture of continuous improvement and strengthen Datacont's technological capacity, enhancing its position in the technology market.
