Abstract
The country and the world are going through the COVID-19 pandemic (15Mar2020), with a declaration of a state of emergency and quarantine, which has caused a true collapse in the national economy, also affecting the Insurance Sector in Peru. Any projection or strategic plan lost its significance since the beginning of the pandemic, even if companies had implemented “programs” for business improvement. The research to be carried out aims to verify the level of compliance with the factors (nine) of the Total Quality Administration (TQM), this work is based on the statistical analysis of the responses got from the questionnaire of 35 questions developed by Benzaquen (2013), the same one that was evaluated in 60 companies in the insurance sector. Analyzing the results, it can be seen that companies which have implemented the TQM have a significant difference compared to the companies that have not implemented the TQM; It has been evidenced with the survey that those companies with the questionnaire applied to ten people working, have better rates in the nine factors of the TQM, compared to the others and if they also have a Management Quality Management System implemented in their company, the performance is better , emphasizing that all companies that have an implemented Quality Management System (in this survey) have no more than 10 (ten) workers. The Leadership factor keep up in the insurance companies with the highest rating in the survey, but in all cases, efforts must be redoubled to strengthen the fundamentals that drive quality, since these are the weaknesses of the insurance companies.
