Abstract
In the recent years, the concept of sustainability has managed to gain more strength in companies, becoming more aware of climate change and the impact they can generate on the environment with the development of their operations. Even more, the sustainable criteria are finding to be implemented throughout the supply chain, to produce a product or provide a service and this to be reflected and perceived by customers. In this way the integration of sustainability is a constantly challenge, since it involves establishing a comprehensive vision in the medium and long term that brings with it a series of changes starting from how the organization focuses its vision, to adopting strategies that fit with environmental, social, governmental and sustainable initiatives. According to the Alves (2022) report, the main problem is that although many executives or supply chain leaders have many implementation alternatives; They do not have tools that allow them to quantify the impact. The purpose of the consultancy is to propose a methodological decision-making process based on the company's objectives and/or strategies, which provides opportunities for the implementation of sustainable initiatives, aligned with the pillars of sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). . established by the dairy company, with the purpose of optimizing and aligning those key processes that impact the environment, customers and operations, aiming at the 2030 agenda. Internal and external factors that impact the company were analyzed using tools such as PESTE, AMOFITH and SWOT; and consequently, the PHVA (Deming Cycle) methodology for the proposal, design and application of the initiatives. Therefore, three sets of initiatives were obtained that contribute to the incorporation of sustainability criteria, which are (a) integrate sustainability criteria into the transportation supplier selection procedure, (b) financing, return on investment and rotation of assets for transportation and (c) visibility to the market of the lower impact of the carbon footprint and equivalent trees. Of which, for the initiative that had the highest weighting, the result was that of 183 transportation providers, only 30 providers were selected for the application of the sustainable transportation provider evaluation matrix, of which only five providers complied with the standard. The result was that for this project it is estimated to launch 320 trucks of which the electric fleet is more attractive as it has a less expensive rate and represents an economic efficiency of S/ 583,954 annually, adding that said migration will contribute to having a Less impact on the carbon footprint, generating a lower annual expense of S/ 3,670,408 annually.
