Abstract
La inequidad de género en la sociedad peruana exige la reflexión acerca de los
procesos de socialización que generan brechas entre hombres y mujeres. Siendo la
primera infancia una etapa clave en la socialización de género, se reconoce la
importancia de estudiar este proceso en el nivel Inicial. La presente investigación se
enmarca bajo la temática de currículo oculto de género, específicamente se plantea
la siguiente pregunta: ¿Cómo se transmiten estereotipos y roles de género en un aula
de 5 años de una institución educativa privada de Lima a través del currículo oculto?
En este sentido, el objetivo recae en analizar cómo se transmiten estereotipos y roles
de género en un aula de 5 años de una institución educativa privada de Lima, a través
del currículo oculto. Con esta finalidad, se realizan entrevistas y observaciones no
participantes a las docentes del aula de 5 años en cuestión, de acuerdo a tres
categorías: los recursos didácticos, la interacción docente-estudiante y la organización
del aula. Los hallazgos de la investigación dan a conocer la reproducción de
estereotipos y roles tradicionales de género a través de las prácticas disciplinarias, la
invisibilización de las niñas, el uso de recursos audiovisuales y las responsabilidades
del aula. Asimismo, se encontró escasa reflexión de las docentes en relación al rol
que desarrollan en la socialización de género de sus estudiantes.
Gender inequity in Peruvian society requires reflection on the socialization processes that generate gaps between men and women. Since early childhood is a key stage in gender socialization, it is important to study this process at kindergarten level. This research is framed under the topic of hidden gender curriculum, specifically the following question is raised: How are gender stereotypes and roles transmitted in a 5- year-old classroom of a private educational institution in Lima through the hidden curriculum? In this sense, the objective is to analyze how gender stereotypes and roles are transmitted in a 5-year-old classroom of a private educational institution in Lima, through the hidden curriculum. To this end, interviews and non-participant observations were conducted with the teachers of the 5-year-old classroom in question, according to three categories: didactic resources, teacher-student interaction and classroom organization. The research findings reveal the reproduction of stereotypes and traditional gender roles through disciplinary practices, the invisibilization of girls, the use of audiovisual resources and classroom responsibilities. Likewise, little reflection was found on the part of the teachers in relation to the role they play in the gender socialization of their students.
