This research arises from the need to incorporate different pedagogical strategies for the initiation to the saxophone in 6th grade and 1st year high school students in a private educational institution in Lima. Among the variety of pedagogical resources available, this work seeks to analyze different strategies in order to find the most effective ones for the initiation to this instrument and describes the technical-interpretative benefits they offer in order to achieve a better result in the participants. For this, use is made of documentary review, participant observation and the field notebook. The research is divided into three chapters: the first addresses a brief history of the saxophone, the description of its parts, the correct posture and sound emission as well as the main materials and strategies for the initiation to the saxophone; the second chapter describes the bases of the saxophone initiation workshop, where the material to be used is explained and the reason for its choice along with the schedules and structures of the sessions; The third presents the analysis of each of the sessions of this workshop as well as the evolution of the participants who made up the sample. The analysis of the results allows us to conclude that the most effective pedagogical strategies for the introduction to the saxophone are those that combine a variety of methods and teaching approaches such as the use of multimedia resources, the selection and repetition of exercises, constant review and personalized teaching planning, adapted to the individual needs of each student, in order to achieve the objective of successfully introducing him or her to this instrument.
