Abstract
The strategic planning 2017 - 2027 prepared for the Peruvian Pharma Industry seeks to boost the development of this industry by enhancing its strengths and taking advantage of the opportunities presented in the global market. Currently, Peruvian Pharma Industry has a deficit in the trade balance due to the large number of imported drugs and the low competitiveness abroad of medicines produced in Peruvian laboratories. Along this strategic process, it is relevant for the Peruvian Pharma Industry to have a cluster that orchestrates the synergy between the existing associations in that industry. This will allow it to be efficient, profitable and consistent with its mission of providing quality pharmaceutical products for the well-being of South Americans and contributing to the improvement of Peru's Gross Domestic Product. Likewise, the Peruvian Pharma Industry will work based on social responsibility whose process must use resources in an efficient way in laboratories for the care of the environment. Finally, the medicines offered by the Peruvian Pharma Industry must have international standards that allow them to compete, initially, in countries bordering Peru and gradually in the rest of the world. Their competitiveness will depend on how well they use their internal resources to take advantage of the opportunities that the market offers
