Abstract
propia ciudad.
In the current context of Peru, clear problems have been identified in the supply chain, mainly in the Supermarkets area, due to economic, political and social factors. This situation generates that the main supermarket chains in our country do not achieve a level of service in the stores, being a more complex issue to be able to reach the distant provinces of our country. In this Thesis, the case of Hipermercados Tottus in Cusco is reviewed, which in recent years has had a decrease in its level of sales revenue. The main problems that do not allow the supply chain to reach this store in the optimal time were analyzed, and what would be the impact after implementing solutions both at the level of people and the use of technological tools for the development of solutions. After reviewing, the viable alternatives to be implemented, a proposal was made to increase the square meters of storage space in the city of Cusco itself, in order to have a small distribution center nearby and reduce waiting times from Lima. Also, the development in technology, through a mobile application that allows to review the availability online and achieve integration into a single database for this type of stores. It is feasible and flexible, because it is a solution similar to that of its local competitors, adaptable, because it could be replicated in other stores in the provinces. It is viable from a financial point of view because it impacts on sales and return on investment and finally sustainable by reducing the impact of the arrival of heavy freight vehicles in the city itself.
