Abstract
The obyetive of the following work is meant to analyze thecolaboration of different registers of semiotic representation to make Physics students Ellipse work. The research invoves students of first year of the Physics course from a public university in Lima – Peru. Their ager goes from 17 to 20. The subjects of the investigation, which though a sequence of questions, take thelead and develop procedures and conversions in the Semiotic Representation on Natural tangue, algebraic and graphic of the math target Elipse. Therefore, we have decided to answer the following question of investigation: How does the coordination of the different Semiotic Registers of Representation help the Ellipse of Physics students’ Notion work? To answer this question, we suggestted the following specific objetives: to identify the procedures and conversions mode by the students when they develop a didactic sequence that make the Ellipse Notion work. Futhermore, we support this research because of the importance that the study has on the conic Ellipse for students of Physics in their profesional education. As a theoric field that suppors our rescarch of aspects of the theory of Registers of Representation Semiotic of Duval (2004), what concerns transformations: procedures and conversions. Due to the focus of this research, which is qualitative, as methodology, we consider aspects of Didactic Engineering from Artigue (1995), micro Engineering. In the stage of experimentation, we selected two subjects of investigation, during the lenght of the questions sequence, we verified that the students achiere the coordination of the different Semiotic Representation Registers, which they used to develop the notion of Ellipse. Likewise, some difficulties regarding linking the natural, algebraic and graphic.
