Abstract
semiestructuradas dirigidas a especialistas.
This research investigates the graphic communication, textual discourse and thematic content of Poetas Del Asfalto (PDA), a fanzine poet group. Which is considered an alternative medium, with more than 100 editions since 1995. The fanzine circulates mainly among members of the Lima punk subculture, specifically in the Historic Center of Lima. Therefore, the contribution of this research consists of delving deeper into the Lima punk scene, based on its communication and discursive products. In addition, it recognizes the communication value of this limited circulation fanzine and investigates the media, formats, graphic elements and communication practices used in its production. The research uses techniques such as content analysis and semi-structured interviews directed to specialists. The universe of this Fanzine is made up of 190 editions, published between 1995 and 2022, and the sample -obtained through convenience sampling- is 33 editions collected between 1995 and 2017. From the application of the designed tools, the research concludes that the fanzine, due to its versatile nature, adapts to the communication needs of various subcultures that use non-traditional media. In addition, the fanzine, as an alternative media, acts as a platform that makes up for the lack of representation of minorities in conventional media. In this context, the Poetas del Asfalto fanzine includes a variety of discourses expressed through graphic and literary styles. In this way, the fanzine is established as a media to address issues that are often omitted or little explored in mass media.
