Abstract
This research collected data about attitudes and leadership styles in fifteen women with executive positions in order to identify common variables that underlie and precede the behavior. With this was sought to broaden the understanding of the results obtained in relation to styles of leadership in Perú. The data collection of information on both variables was performed from two perspectives; an open interview in the case of attitudes and another closed using the questionnaire MLQ 5X-short version developed by Bass and Avolio for leadership styles. In the study, the attitudes were grouped into cognitive, affective and behavioral components found frequent values such as experience, active listening, exploitation of opportunities, efficiency, teamwork, personal satisfaction, among others. Then, using the mixed approach of research led that the attitudes variable is quantified in order to classify them according to leadership styles. This allowed to identify different values depending on transformational and transactional styles. The work constitutes an opportunity to highlight the peculiarities in Peru, proposing an analytical model that can be replicated in other contexts to strengthen research line that may collect information taking advantage of the wealth of mixed research approach
