Abstract
The following research paper attempts to design a didactic proposal based on the Instrumental Orchestration that allows economics students to interpret the marginal analysis of economic functions for which we have established the following research question: Will the design of a didactic proposal based on the Instrumental Orchestration allow economics students to interpret the marginal analysis of economic functions? To answer this question, we will resort to the aspects of the Instrumental Genesis and Instrumental Orchestration as theoretical foundation while the methodology has a qualitative focus. Two didactic sequences with virtual teaching arrangements were proposed with Geogebra’s support and the execution modes were based on the typology proposed by Şay and Akkoç, (2016) with the goal of provoking the emergence of schemes of use, instrumented action and collective instrumented action. The didactic sequences look for the Instrumental Genesis of the marginal analysis, so that economics students can use it for decision-making within economic contexts. Finally, in each activity we have proposed potential schemes of use and of instrumented action that should emerge when developing the activity. These will be identifiable through instrumented techniques which would lead us to conclude that if the economics students are able to develop the questions related to marginal analysis, then they would reach the instrumental genesis through which the emergence of the instrumented techniques would be noticeable in the economics students.
