Modelo prolab: traNsForma-tU, servicio integral de recolección, transporte, valorización y disposición final de los NFU en la ciudad de Lima

Abstract
Actualmente en Perú se desechan alrededor de 92,659 toneladas de neumáticos al año (El
Peruano, 2021), y si a eso le sumamos los 500 años que tarda en degradarse un neumático luego
de sus 10 años de tiempo de vida útil, son cantidades insostenibles que atentan contra el medio
ambiente y contra la salud de toda la población, por los botaderos en rellenos sanitarios donde
van a parar estos neumáticos o lo que es peor, el dióxido de carbono (CO2) que emana por la
quema de llantas.
Cabe resaltar que en Perú recién se ha creado una ley que exige la responsabilidad
extendida de los NFU a todo productor o importador de vehículos y neumáticos (Decreto
Supremo N 024 - 2021 MINAM).
En ese sentido, la oportunidad de generar un cambio es enorme ya que hay mucho trabajo
por hacer. Es por ello que traNsForma-tU es una propuesta que busca contribuir con uno de los
Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS): “Trabajo decente y crecimiento económico”. Para
ello se ofrecerá a los importadores y productores de neumáticos el servicio de recolección,
transporte, valorización (transformación de neumáticos a microcaucho) y disposición final
(correcto destino de los desechos de los neumáticos) en un solo lugar.
La determinación para llevar el presente proyecto a cabo se respalda en los resultados
financieros obtenidos con un VAN a cinco años de S/. 1'378,920.00, un TIR del 36% y un
Payback al segundo año, además del VAN social que asciende a S/. 1'028,347,56, con lo cual se
demuestra que el proyecto es financieramente viable.
Currently in Peru around 92,659 tons of tires are discarded per year (El Peruano, 2021), and if we add to the 500 years it takes for a tire to degrade after its 10-year useful life, these are unsustainable amounts that they threaten the environment and health of the entire population, due to the dumps in sanitary landfills where these tires end up or, what is worse, the carbon dioxide (CO2) that emanates from burning tires. It should be noted that in Peru a law has recently been created that requires the extended liability of the tire out of use to all producers or importers of vehicles and tires (Supreme Decree N 024 - 2021 MINAM). In that sense, the opportunity to generate a change is enormous since there is a lot of work to be done. That is why traNsForma-tU is a proposal that seeks to contribute to one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG): "Decent work and economic growth". To this end, tire importers and producers will be offered the service of collection, transportation, recovery (transformation of tires into microrubber) and final disposal (correct destination of tire waste) in a single place. The determination to carry out this project is supported by the financial results obtained with a five-year NPV of S/. 1'378,920.00, an IRR of 36% and a Payback in the second year, in addition to the social VAN that amounts to S/. 1'028,347.56, which demonstrates that the project is financially viable.
